Sherry Thompson, MPA
Born and raised in High Point, North Carolina, Sherry has built a career grounded in service, leadership, and community empowerment. A proud graduate of Winston-Salem State University, she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Management in 2002. Her passion for public service and organizational leadership led her to pursue a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from High Point University, which she completed in 2006.
Since joining the United States Postal Service in 2013, Sherry has held a range of increasingly responsible positions, demonstrating a consistent commitment to excellence and operational efficiency. Her roles have included:

· Supervisor, Distribution Operations – SDO Greensboro NDC (May 2024)
· Supervisor, Field Operations (Detail – October 2024)
· Supervisor, Distribution Operations – Greensboro P&DC (May 2023)
· Project Coordinator, COVID-19 Response – Greensboro NDC (Dec. 2021 – Sept. 2022)
· Administrative Assistant, NDC
· PSE Clerk/Data Collection Technician – Greensboro P&DC
· Personnel Processing Assistant – HR Shared Services (2013–2020)

In recognition of her exceptional service, Sherry received a Spot Award for Outstanding Service at Greensboro P&DC in August 2024. Her leadership style is defined by integrity, adaptability, and a deep understanding of logistics and personnel management.
Outside of work, Sherry is a devoted mother to two children, Kendra and Chris. She is an active member of Greater First United Baptist Church and proudly affiliated with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Her lifelong dedication to education, equity, and community advocacy continues to shape her work and inspire those around her.
Sherry’s combined expertise in public administration, business management, and frontline operations makes her a dynamic force for progress in both her professional and local communities.
